This video shows how we make our delicious take on a classic southern breakfast — biscuits with sausage gravy! Instead of buttermilk biscuits, we make garlic cheddar biscuits using a time-saving “hack” that you’ll want to try again and again! This recipe is a crowd pleaser and appropriate for cooks of all levels!
Your Shopping List For This Meal:
1 16-ounce roll of pork breakfast sausage (can be substituted w/ turkey sausage that has a decent amount of fat)
5 heaping cups of Bisquick Pancake & Baking Mix
6 to 8 ounces of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
6 cups of milk (approximately 2.5 for the biscuits and 3.5 for the gravy)
1/2 to 3/4 cup of all purpose flour (for achieving desired thickness of gravy)
3/4 stick of salted butter
2 and 1/2 tablespoons of garlic powder (2 for biscuit dough and 1/2 for garlic butter sauce)
cooking spray (for baking pans)
seasoning salt and black pepper (to taste, for the gravy)
dried parsley or fresh parsley for sprinkling on the finished biscuits
